YOC May 20 Meeting @9am: Presentation on Web Setup & $10k Free Online Ads a Month!
Fellow Youth Organization Coalition Members (and Friends of YOC),
Please come out to our May 20th 2023 (9am) meeting of the Youth Organizations Coalition (via Zoom) and invite any nonprofit that you think could benefit from the great program we have scheduled.
Jessica Taylor and Mike McKee from Lead Nerds (a web development+ company) will talk with us about how to organize your web sites and how to apply for (and get) a Google Ad Grant of $10,000 per month in online advertising. WOW!
Jessica and Mike are also founders of a young charity, Computer Repair Lab, where they have applied for, and received the Google Ad Grant.  Computer Repair Lab takes in donated used computers, upgrades them, and gives them back to nonprofit organizations and/or to families with kids who do not have computers. The benefits are computer eUpcycling, training for youths on computers and repair, and bridging the digital divide.

Please feel free to invite other nonprofits who might benefit from the program and this amazing Ad grant.

NOTE that the Zoom meeting room has changed from usual; it is updated in the calendar. (You should have emails/texts with new Zoom log in information.)

We look forward to seeing you.

It is giving season, with Giving Tuesday coming up after the long Thanksgiving weekend. Now is the best time of the year to reach out to your Donors and make sure that they are thinking of you as they give thanks for the year and give donations into the end of the tax year.  GivingTuesday.org  #GivingTuesday
First, it is a busy week starting on Thanksgiving.
There is Black Friday. Well, pretty much the whole month of November has been cluttered with sales, but Thanksgiving really kicks in the Christmas season for splurging and frugal purchases.

Pre-K, Short vs Long-Term

5/10/2021

Universal Pre-K has become a big item on the Biden Administrations agenda, with a pretty substantial price tag that would have to be paid for by raising taxes. Some research has been mixed on Pre-K. But a natural research study has been ongoing in Boston that suggests mixed short-term, but significant long-term benefits of Pre-K.
